Mother's Day 2015: My First Mother's Day Celebration

As we all know, last May 10th was Mother's Day, and I've never been excited about it since this year! Well hello, I'm a mom now, so yeah of course, it was my day! I'm one of the many amazing moms out there who owned May 10th! Yaaassss. Heehee

My little awesome family went to the mall on May 9th to somehow celebrate it. I was just teasing my husband, Joshua, that we don't have plans for the special day in my life (lels) since it was my first time to celebrate it. And then, later that afternoon, he told me to take a bath already because we're going out. Picture my excitement here! Hahaha! I wasn't really expecting some cheesy something whatever from him because he's not that type. Though sometimes I wish he's like that, but not all the time, because I'm not that type either. Heehee. Well, sometimes! Hey! I'm a girl. That would be a good excuse, right? Right.

Anyway, as I was saying, the three bears, Joshua, myself, and Maco, went to the mall later that May 9th afternoon. We went to Market! Market! to be specific. While we were still in a cab, I saw these people holding bouquet of flowers, and cakes. I told him "buti pa sila may flowers" and showed him my sad face. HAHA! Honestly, I didn't care that much, I just want to tease him some more. As we entere the mall, I saw this book sale going on and I hurriedly went there to check on the children's books! Picture again my excitement here! Hahaha! Man, I love book sales! I was hoping to find some Dr. Seuss books and yes, of course, I found some! *wink

it was not all by Dr.Seuss, but it has that cat in the hat
logo on the upper right, so it's fine with me
He told me he needed to buy something from Ace Hardware so I told him that Maco and I will just wait by the book sale, because I really wanted to buy some books for my little munchkin. I found some, but I can't buy it yet because I only have 100Php with me so I need to find him asap before other moms/dads found my Dr Seuss books! Hahaha! I tried to call him but he's not answering so I decided to go to Ace Hardware, because I know he'll just be there, because he's mabagal to choose in Ace Hardware like that. As I was approaching Ace Hardware, thank God he answered, and he was not there. Picture my galit face here. Hahaha! So I just waited by the area and when I saw him, he was holding this long stemmed yellow rose. Oh my... I did not expect that at all. Seriously, even when I said the "buti pa sila ek ek" phrase, I did not see that long stemmed yellow rose coming! Because I was always like that to him, and he does not give in. Hahaha!

hihi <3
After some mall strolling we did, it was almost 9 in the evening already  so we ended up eating at North Park since it's located outside the mall, because Market! Market! is only open until 10 in the evening. So we thought it was better to eat outside, and there's not much restaurants to choose from inside the mall anyway.

It was a simple and nice celebration with my bears and I'm happy! :)

On May 10th we had a simple Mother's Day celebration here at home with the whole fam (minus my eldest sister-in-law's fam since they're in a vacation), we ordered some pizza and chicken, cooked some spaghetti, and of course, we need to have some cake! Another simple yet awesome celebration with the family.

No bragging or anything... I just want to share these gifts I received this Mother's Day...

SaYa Babywearing Carrier
This was an advanced gift from my husband, a SaYa Babywearing Carrier (I'll talk more about it on another blog post). I've been wanting a carrier for my little munchkin, since everytime we go out and put her on her stroller, she doesn't really stay put. She would always cry and it would always end up us carrying her, stroller carrying air. Also, we had a carrier already, but right after I joined the Babywearing Philippines group on facebook, I found out that what we bought was not recommended, and it's no good for the baby and the mum. Though my husband uses it sometimes, but we use it with a scarf, to support my little munchkin's legs. I have seen some moms do it on the net, so that our old carrier would not be sayang.

Mango Bag
Another advanced gift from Ate Jac, my eldest sister-in-law. I was really surprised and excited when I got this! She told me this bag fits me well since it has no zipper and it's big enough to carry lots of my stuff, including my little munchkin's nappies, extra shirts, wipes and changing pad. Yep, it's that big! Heehee

Soooooo... How was my very first Mother's Day celebration? Awesome! Looking forward to the next Mother's Day! HAHAHA!
