Alden Richards spreads the love (not the germs) through a new song

Safeguard and the Pambansang Bae team up to remind Filipino to wash their hands

In this year’s Global Handwashing Day celebration, Safeguard has partnered with one of the most prominent personalities in the country today to bring attention to the importance of proper and habitual handwashing. The nation’s leading soap together with the “Pambasang Bae” Alden Richards join forces to educate Filipinos on the importance of handwashing through the power of a song.

Alden himself sang the handwashing song and invites every Filipino to make it a habit to unfailingly wash their hands with Safeguard in these 5 “hugas non-negotiables” -- before “mano”, after using the toilet, before eating, after playing and before bonding. And more importantly, to spread the love and not the germs this holiday season.

TONDO, MANILA - Safeguard led a movement to a healthier Philippines through the Global Handwashing Day (GHD) celebration last October 12 at the Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila. This is in line with the with the brand’s 50 year long tradition of handwashing education to prevent diseases and help save lives.
If you’ve ever wondered the kind of impact personal hygiene really makes on the spread of germs and general health of the public, consider these sobering statistics gathered from the first Philippines Handwashing Index, a breakthrough study recently commissioned by the nation’s leading soap brand, Safeguard.

What to expect on #NationalPamperingDay by Nail-a-holics

Last October 17th was #NationalPamperingDay from Nail-a-holics... yet again. It was a successful event last year and I believe this year also -because when I got there, there were a lot of people already, and it was just 11:00 in the morning! Woah!

Little girl's still sleepy hence the face LOL

I tagged along my little girl with me just so we could have a mother-daughter bonding. When Maco and I got into Nail-a-holics Market! Market!, even if there were a lot of people, the staff were very accommodating, they were all smiles and would assist you until you get a seat.

Last year, they have 2 choices of what you would want; a manicure, or a stress relieving hand massage. This year, they offered 3 choices which are a relaxing foot massage, a calming foot spa, or a soothing manicure. And yes, whichever service you choose is FREE. Yay!

Another great thing about this event other than the services being free is that it supports World Vision, The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), and Save Philippine Seas' added Amaro.

Ladies enjoying their foot massage and foot spa!
There are kids who tagged along, too!
Please excuse my feet LOL
So, what to expect on  #NationalPamperingDay... I know this is kind of late since it happened already, but this is in preparation for next year I guess! Lol!

Well, since they offer free services, expect a lot of people. Don't get irritated if you have to wait, I promise you they're doing the best they can so they can accommodate all of the customers. You don't want to get a meh kind of service, don't you?

Tell them exactly what service you want beforehand clearly. It's a waste of time when Ate already brought her kit in front of you but you wanted other service than what she had brought. Well, they do ask it beforehand but just to be clear, y'know.

And lastly, expect to relax. This may not last long as you wanted, but hey it's free! And it's really relaxing, so... two thumbs up!

I guess that's it! I had a soothing time when I took part of #NationalPamperingDay, plus my little girl didn't act up so it was win-win for me! Yay!

Thank you, Nail-a-holics!

#Haenim UV Sterilizer now in the Philippines!

Sterilizers are one of the many must-haves when you're having a baby. Thank goodness, my sister-in-law gifted me one. It was just a regular sterilizer wherein in you plug it in, put on some water somewhere and then turn it on, it was of big help. I remember when I was a kid, what they use are big pans, fill it with water and let it boil -with the bottles inside. It was too much work.

Steam sterilization has been a parenting practice for years, but as much as it is seen to be effective, it has always required much effort, time, and money. Aside from this, the usual drying practices of wiping or air-drying may even invite bacteria back to newly sterilized items; and most conventional steam sterilizers can only fit around six bottles and can only be used for high-grade plastics and metals that are heat resistant.

These are just some parenting concerns that parents can address by getting the best-selling UV Sterilizer in Asia-Pacific and having a #HaenimHome.

Haenim can eliminate 99.9% of harmful bacteria that are exposed to its UV-C light. This light destroys nucleic acids and breaks apart germ DNA so they cannot function or reproduce, and the organism dies. Haenim also has 100% Drying Power, ensuring that there is no moisture where bacteria can grow from and parents do not need to wipe or air-dry items.

Having the biggest capacity in the market and requiring no water or steam means it can disinfect more items. From baby items (like bottles, toys, and books) to personal and household items (like mobile phones, make-up brushes, toothbrushes, and remote controls) —- making this a smart purchase that is perfect for parents who are also just starting to complete their home.

Being the first and only Smart Sterilizer in the Philippines and being a waterless system, parents can place their unit anywhere in the house. Haenim is also available in six different colors with premium finishes: black, silver, metal silver, pink, green, and blue. Whether they are looking for a classic design or a pop of color, there’s a Haenim for every home.

A feature-packed Smart Sterilizer is what modern parents need and having a #HaenimHome is now easy because they can get theirs from any of our retails partners:

My Baby Planet - S&R Commonwealth
My Baby Planet - Puregold Qi Central
BabyMama - Ortigas
BabyMama - Alabang
BabyMama - BGC

SOME of the Stupid Things Husband and Wife usually Fight About

Let's have a laugh, shall we?

Husband and I have been married for 3 years. We fight, yes of course, and the funny thing is, we fight about the stupidest things you could imagine. Whenever we think the stuff we fought about, most of the time, we thought how stupid it was, how childlike we were, and it was really nothing to be fought about. But even if we fight, nothing can tear us apart! LOL! Even that sh*t I told him to do months ago and he didn't do it yet.

Maybe y'all relate to this, because hey, this really happens! Well, these are just SOME of it. Anyway, I will not include that thing I said above, wherein I've told him to do something and he doesn't do it, because I don't think it's stupid, I honestly think it's a very serious matter. LOL

Okay. I'm very much sure I'm not the only one at this, but if you do not fight about where you should eat, then good for you! But for me and my husband, yes, we do fight about where we should eat when we're out. There are times I wanted pizza and he wanted Japanese. I wanted to save but the husband wanted to splurge because YOLO. Haha! Or there are times he would ask me where to eat, I'd say it's up to him, but I don't like his choices. Lol! And yet, he chose me. WHAT

When in a mall. Well, maybe this is just my husband and I, but we did fight on which store to go first. I bet you'd say, why don't you both go to the different stores at the same time, well honey, there are times I'd like to show him something in that store, like a hint that I want it, you know. IDK.

Ah this. It takes me 30mins to an hour for me to prepare, whenever we go out, but if in a rush, I can make it to 20 mins -shower included! But bathing my daughter and preparing her, excluded! LOL! Yes,it does takes a lot of time for me to prepare, and this is what my husband hates, but HELLO! I bathe our daughter and put on clothes to her, too! So... HAHAHA

We have our own trash bin here in our room, and emptying it takes a while hahaha! And so the war begins whenever I ask him to throw it out, and it takes him forever to do it.

Husband comes home from work. Went in the room. Left his used clothes on the floor. And sometimes, he would use his pants again, but IDK why he couldn't put it on THE CHAIR, or hang it. Ugh.

I honestly can't sleep in total darkness (lol) so we usually have a night light. The question is who would turn it on when we forgot to turn it on before we turned off the lights. Because who would want to stand up when you're already in bed, right? Lol

I'm one of the girls who love make-up. And sometimes even if I just bought a lipstick a week ago, I might need another one this week, I just need it, you know. This is what my husband hates. HAHAHA! I guess he just can't understand, and I bet who would never understand. But right now, we're on a really tight budget, so... I guess we'll understand each other now. Lol!

Hahaha! These are just some of the stupid things we fight about, and these are just for fun! You're welcome to add on the comment section if you think you and your partner fought about something really ridiculous and unacceptable! Hahaha!

Hope y'all have a great day!

Ber Months are here!

It's September!!!

The ber months are finally here and can you just imagine how close we are to December already!? That means Christmas, and yes, my little girl's turning three! Oh my. I'm getting emotional right now as I'm thinking the months/years passed, as what they say, time really fly so fast. Been seeing my memories on facebook and how my darling little girl used to be so cute and quiet. Now, she's still cute of course even though she lost some of her bigger cheeks (now, it's just big lol), and she just can't stop talking. It's annoying sometimes, really! Lol! Well okay it's annoying most of the time! HAHAHA! Kidding!

I'm also seeing a lot of Jose Mari Chan's face on my facebook news feed. LOL! (If you don't know who Jose Mari Chan is, he's a singer here in the Philippines and he sang one of the popular Christmas songs here which is 'Christmas in our Hearts') Christmas really is coming, expect to hear his songs in malls. And of course, Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas", too!

Christmas meaning gift giving meaning shopping. Ah yes! Even though the malls are jam packed during this season, I still love going to malls. And then I get annoyed lol! But still, I love going to malls, hearing Christmas songs, and seeing the beautiful Christmas decors. Ah I just love Christmas. It brings a lot of my childhood memories.

Speaking of childhood memories, I remember myself with my friends going house to house to christmas carol, singing Jingle Bells, Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit, and of course, We Wish You a Merry Christmas! Ah I miss my childhood. Can't wait for the little girl to really experience Christmas, too! Now that she's turning 3 before Christmas, I'm sure she'll enjoy it more!

But, what happened to my ~*life*~ in the previous months?

The first quarter of this year, I've been busy with my blogging life, but then we entered the food business industry. LOL! (It's just a really small business, though!) That's why I wasn't able to blog and attend events more often. I really miss attending events! Just today, I was so excited because I'm going to attend an event for a brand I love, but unfortunately, I overlooked the time! I thought it was at 3:00pm, but when I checked the message again, it was at 11:30am. LABO at it's finest talaga!

Anyway, I just miss blogging so much hence this what's up with my life post! Lol! ;)

#LegoBloggersDay at Ayala Malls the 30th

This is a month late post so I am sooo sorry! :(

It was a friday afternoon that my little girl and I went to Ayala Malls the 30th in Pasig. Honestly, I didn't know about this mall until Lego Bloggers Day event! Heehee

We went there pretty early and so the little girl was able to play with some lego blocks with other kids. Maco loves Legos just like her cousins, Ate Dylan and Kuya Lucas, most especially her Kuya Lucas who have a LOT of legos, I tell you! I wish I brought them with us but Lucas have school that time.

Busy Momma

So I've been busy!

As much as I wanted to do a blog post, I just can't. Most of the time whenever I go inside our bedroom, it is just for us to sleep. I haven't had a time to sit down for a long time, until now. (Actually as I was typing this a few days weeks ago, I remembered I had to do something! Oops!)

Well, what's keeping me busy?

We opened a burger shop near our place, it's just small and we sell pretty cheap burgers but delicious ones! Yes, of course! We also have nachos, quesadilla and such -mainly for merienda. And since we're still new, we can't afford somebody else to man our shop just yet, so I'm the one there and my husband's cousin-he's the one who came up with the burger recipe btw. On our first week, I was really struggling because I don't know how to manage my time.

So that's what's keeping me busy, and of course, taking care of my little girl as well!

I just realized that manning your own shop is quite stressful. It takes so much of your time, with preparing the stuff needed, buying supplies, etc. It also drains your energy that at the end of the day, you just want to have a hot bath and lay on bed and sleep. BUT, I am not complaining okay! I'm happy that at least, I'm doing something and somehow earning as well. It is soooo much different from selling stuff online.

I do miss attending events though. Just a little more time and I'm sure we'll have someone to man the shop na! :)

Fun fact -I've been trying to put this up for weeks already! Lol! Just haven't had enough time to sit down and write. Glad I was able to squeeze in a little time now though. Hehe!

My First #MomTribe Meet-Up

If y'all don't know Millennial Moms PH, it is a group of well, Millennial Moms here in the Ph! Lol, sorry I'm not so good in explaining but the group's name is pretty much self explanatory, right? :) Or better yet, you may click on the link to know more about them.

Anyway, last Saturday, June 24th, I went to my first ever #MomTribe meet-up for first time moms. As I am with every events I attend, I was excited! I guess because I have a reason to go out. Haha!

A post shared by Coi Contreras Ibañez (@coifishh) on

I went there pretty early and was able to have a chat with some moms before it started. We then proceeded to our first activity which we were grouped per table. We introduced ourselves among each other, it was nice to know about the moms in my table, because almost all of us are well, first time moms, but aside from that we're also stay-at-home moms or work-at-home moms! I think we just can't leave our little ones at home! Hehe!

Why it's #FamFirstAtSM

This summer's heat is so intense (yes, intense! haha) we wanted to be in an air-conditioned place all the time, wanted to have a nice meal without cooking and preparing it, and even without washing the dishes! Haha! And yes, we have malls! Tadaaa!

I remember my childhood with SM. I grew up in Antipolo, and I have relatives in Quezon City. Whenever we visit them, there are times we go to SM North Edsa to bond and eat out. Yes, that mall. And I honestly thought it was the only SM mall in the whole country! Hehe! Ah my childhood.

Now, we have a number of SM Malls in the country and my favorites are SM Aura Premier and SM Makati. SM Aura because it's nearest to our place, and the smell of that mall is just heavenly! We always wonder how they do it! Or what scent it is! Heehee! Care to share, SM Aura? Hehe! SM Makati, well, because I love it's beauty section, I would be lost in it, and even though it's pretty small, I love that I can find everything in it, without walking a ton!

One of the highlights of my summer this year is visiting "Weekends at the Courtyard" at SM Aura, it is also Mother's Day that day so it is extra special. The place's vibe is so different from the whole mall. I love Art, and I love that they are trying to reach the art to people, you know what I mean? It is easier to access and easier to see. Even the kids are enjoying because it's colorful. My kid appreciating art. This is one SM moment I would definitely remember!

What we did on that day was so many. We roamed around the mall, bought my toddler some shirts because it was sale! Yay! This was the first time she chose her shirts. And she carried it proudly! Haha! We went to the Skypark, this is where Maco ran around! I like that they have space like this, just grass and some water fountains. Kids love water fountains and to run around, so I really think this is just perfect for family bonding on Sundays or whenever! That time though, there's an installation of Fantastic Beasts art, and everyone is taking photos and enjoying a few activities, and yes, it's free. Who said nothing is free anymore? Btw, that moment at SM Aura's Weekends at the Courtyard, my toddler and I also had a portrait taken for free! It was Mother's Day that time, so. Heehee ;)

I remember when Maco was still young, when she needs to be breastfed, these malls are our go-to place if we needed to go to mall since they have awesome breastfeeding rooms! I love that it's family friendly too, not just for mom and daughter, since my husband could lounge while waiting for us to finish. Hehe!

I also like that they have high chair at their food court! Two thumbs up for this one!

What I admire most with SM other than having affordable items, is that they have really friendly staff, no kidding! I haven't encountered anyone who's masungit. From SM Supermarket staff to their staff at SM Department Stores, and even those in the elevator, they're all friendly, and would answer your question with a smile, in fairness. Well, to the SM Malls I've visited at least, I haven't encountered a masungit one.

If you're still asking, why it's #FamFirstAtSM? Because apparently, they've got it all for us! ;p

Potty Training my 2-Year Old Toddler

Hell to those who did 3-days potty training! That sht doesn't work! Lol! Kidding! ;p

But if it did work for you, congratulations! But as for me, it did not, it took me weeks.

When Maco, my daughter, turned 2years old last December, I thought I could potty train her already because there were instances she'd tell me she'll go 'peepee' or 'wiwi'. Maybe it is also my fault because I would tell her it's okay since she have diapey on. There were also a few times that she peed in the toilet. But then, I noticed that she stopped telling me she had to pee. So when I was ready to really potty train her, it was hard so I thought to just let it be. I kind of stopped to potty train her. Sorry! I think I was being lazy, I didn't want to clean up her pee. Sorry!

Not sure which month of this year, but I think it was February or March, that I started to put my sht together and told myself that if I want to potty train my little girl, I should be patient with it. And it was so timely when I saw a post on potty training, I just forgot which site I read it! Damn it! But that blog post really motivated me to potty train my daughter. I was frustrated because some people were able to potty train their child for 3-5days! How is that possible! Anyway back to the blog post I read, she said there that what she did was that she told her child to tell her if her child had to pee, and she does not put on diaper/pants on her child. And so that's what I did, I didn't put on Maco's diaper and repeatedly tell her if she wanted to pee, she should tell me.

The first time, she was not able to tell me she had to pee, she told me after she peed. And so she peed on her pants, but that was fine. What was not fine was when she didn't pee for a long time, maybe she got afraid or something because she peed on her pants. Btw, I didn't shout on her when she peed on her pants okay! I just told her calmly that she should have told me that she had to pee. Husband told me that maybe our little girl's not ready yet, but I told him I guess she is, because there were times she'd tell me she had to pee. I became patient I guess. Lol!

And now, my little girl doesn't wear diapers already! Well, she does if she's going to sleep or if we're going out. And even if we're out, she'd tell me she had to pee, and I would tell her that it's okay since she's wearing a diaper. I can't let her pee on the mall's toilet because it's filthy. Lol! But true! Or maybe I could just bring disposable toilet seat cover? Would that work? Because there was a time we're out, she's not wearing a diaper and she had to pee, what I did was I carried her so she could pee and not sit on the toilet seat, but she didn't like to pee there. Lol! I just felt sorry for the place's restroom. Good thing it was just near home though, so we went home asap!

And so of course I've learned my lesson from this.
Number 1, that we have to be patient.
Number 2, that we have to be very patient.
Number 3, that we have to be the most patient.

I never knew I could be this patient. Lol!

SM Aura Premier's 'Art in Aura' and Weekends at the Courtyard

Last May 4th, SM Aura Premier launched 'Art in Aura' at the Courtyard hence Weekends at the Courtyard was born. Weekends at the Courtyard is like an art fair with different artsy booths from local artisans to check out!

The campaign, in collaboration with creative assembly KAPWA Studio, was kicked off by a showcase of murals by notable local artists Anina Rubio, Mercedes Olondriz, Archie Oclos, and multi-hyphenate Dee Jae Pa'este, whose works can already be found all over the metro.

SM Aura aims to take the art out of the gallery and bring it to urban spaces, to make it more accessible to everyone. The movement started 3 years ago with Filipino-American artist, Jefre Manuel, with "Steel Safari", a public art installation of 4 animals  unique to the  Philippines, followed by a Christmas showcase featuring Olivia d'Aboville's "Giant Dandilions" and Leeroy New's "Astreopora". Both large scale installations were set to music at the Skypark lawn. The Aura Tower also features artist Eduardo Castrillo's "Colossal Growth". The Colossal Growth depicts the movement of mass from linear to horizontal. It represents the threshold by which a form, or energy crosses a path and explodes to grandness, redefining itself. It was reacquired from Evangelina Gella Luarca in 1989. The Artist kept it in storage and restored in 2013.

Art in Aura redefines the way one interacts with art, by using images and patterns that are rooted to our heritage. Art in Aura features three outstanding local artists by providing them mural spaces to share their expressive work. One of the featured artists, Anina Rubio, is a freelance visual artist whose art reflects her love for the outdoors. Her work, "Through the Cracks" can be seen at the SM Aura Grand Staircase, featuring common household weeds which she likens to Filipino characteristics like resilience and adaptability.

UP Fine Arts graduate street artist Archie Oclos, pays homage to our country's "National Treasures" through internationally-revered "mambabatok" Apo Whang Od and Lang Dulay, the T'boli Weave Master.
A post shared by Coi Contreras Ibañez (@coifishh) on
Manila-based Mercedes Olondirz' "Flaura" to depict her goal to bring back organic elements into the urban landscape. It is also joined by digital artist, Ramenrocky, whose works illuminated the Courtyard walls during the launch.

My take on '13 Reasons Why'

Have you heard of this series? Have you seen it?

So I've been hearing about this series from friends, and yes, from the online world as well. There are people who likes it and there are those who don't. It's the series '13 Reasons Why', and if you don't know about it yet, it's about this girl who took her own life because of bullies.

I've been bullied in high school, but not to that extent -like in the series. I had this one classmate who would always eat from my baon (food I take to school), she would always say "patikiiiiim" in a very sweet tone, takes a bite and then half of my sandwich gone. Yes. Lol! She bites quite big. Haha! She also eats my lunch.

And then I had a friend in 6th grade but when we entered 1st yr high school, she started hanging out with the "cool" girls and when we went to the mall one time, she would tell me to do sht for her. I was like their Jenny (Gossip Girl). And from then, I went away from her. We never talked and now, we're friends on facebook.

Anyway, let's go back to the series -13 Reasons Why.

I just saw the whole 1st season. At first it was okay but as the story went on, I don't know anymore. I just don't want to stop right away because I'm curious and I want to know the whole story. Hehe! And I believe a 2nd season is in the works already.

Well, as a mom, I don't think it's good for teenagers because I think it would give them an idea. But a part of me says that it's good to show this to teenagers because it would show them what would happen to the loved ones they've left behind. And to show the bullies what they've done to those they bullied. But that's just a small part of me. Most of me would still say 'no'. Or maybe it's just how you look at it. We have different reactions and all anyway, so.

I just don't get it why Clay didn't show the tapes to his parents the moment he got it. I mean if I were him, I'd show it to my parents, the police, or anyone right away! Hehe!

Bullying don't just happen in school, there are bullies almost everywhere. Why can't these bullies just stop? Whenever I hear something about bullying, I always wonder why they do that? Aren't they happy with their own life that they had to pull others down with them? I guess not.

This reaction is all me btw, I haven't read any reviews online before this.

How about you, have you seen the 1st season of the series? What do you think?

It's not that I need to post a review or something about the show, I just really got affected by it. Lol

The gift of healthy ‘CROWNING GLORY’ fit for the Queen this Mother’s Day

CLICHE it may be, but there’s indeed a woman behind the person we are today. And that’s no less than her—our mother. We used to call her nanay, inay, ‘nay, mama, mommy or simply mom. Needless to say, she deserves more than that given the pivotal role she fulfills in rearing us from childhood to adulthood and possibly for the rest of our lives.

There may be opposing beliefs whether that greater maternal instinct is biologically predetermined or socially imposed, but everyone would agree that a mother is hardwired to love and care about the whole family, especially the children, all the time. For better or worse, it’s always the welfare of everyone at home on top of her priority.
No wonder she’s an epitome of a doting human being that touches everybody’s life. So, it’s but right to honor and return all the favors she has done for us. And what a better way to do this than this Mother’s Day.

Strangers touching and pinching my Baby's Face

I don't really know how to explain this but I don't want to come off as being maarte mom, and as a suplada. But maybe I am, I know I am, but I don't want it to be my first impression from people. I try to be nice everyday naman, so.

There was a time I went to this drugstore here in Makati, let's not name it, but it's color is green *wink*. And there's this saleslady who found Maco really cute! And of course, I feel good somehow. But then while I was browsing through the facial products aisle, she carried  my little girl and tried to walk away from me. WTF. Her workmate then stopped her on doing such! Good thing her workmate who is a man, btw, said that she shouldn't have done that. And I was just there! I know y'all ask, "what did you do?". Well, I was in shock. I stood there with my mouth open -literally, with a confused face wondering why she did that. My husband that time was outside, and just like the superheroes, and the policemen in movies, he got there right after the drama and I hurriedly walked off the store. I know I should've done something like complain to the supervisor or something, but I was shocked and I just want to get away from there. :(

There was also a couple of times, that some salesladies (I don't know what's up with salesladies here in the Philippines!!! Well, NOT all are salesladies, some are crew in fastfood chains) who have touched and pinched my baby's face. At first, I was like, fine okay, they find Maco cute blah blah blah. But times passed that I got a little more arte that I thought the right thing, that they shouldn't do that. So now, whenever people tried to touch Maco, I move Maco away from them and look at them with this face...

Hey, I'm not saying you couldn't touch my little girl, but please ask the parent/s first. But most likely my answer would be "no". HAHA! Or you could just smile.

Am I the only one on this? Huhu! Well, I just don't like other people, strangers more likely who I know nothing about, putting their hands all over my child, and worst is trying to kiss her! Please, just don't.

Our "Kids Fair 2017: Bright! Right From the Start" Experience

Kids Fair 2017: “Bright! Right From The Start” kicks off last April 21 - 23, 2017 (Friday to Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

The first ever KIDS FAIR 2017: “Bright! Right From The Start” is an event that sets an environment of learning, discovery, and fun for kids with various activities that could help them improve their creative and thinking skills. From the moment they set foot in the fair, the fun begins – filled with delightful servings of games that stimulate creativity, sportsmanship, and problem-solving skills.

Last Saturday, April 22, my awesome family and I went to SM Megamall to experience Kids Fair, and guess who's excited? Ehem!

Moms, dads, grandparents, and guardians were definitely in the mix – it’s a family affair. KIDS FAIR actively involves the whole family by helping them learn to provide the proper learning path so kids get the necessary motivation and guidance, a solid foundation that propels them to a better future with careers that give them purpose and a lifestyle of holistic well-being.

Also, celebrities and influencers like “Baeby Baste” of GMA 7; Mommy Vlogger, Ms. Isha Borromeo and other special guests joined this fun-filled event.

I honestly thought Isha of purpleheiress would be there by Saturday hence we opted to go there then (She said it on her vlog pala that she'll be there by Sunday, I watched it late huhu). Unfortunately, she was not around that time, BUT Baste from Eat Bulaga was there! He's so cute! Kids lined up to have a meet & greet with him! So cute!

Baeby Baste!! So cute this boy!!
There were a lot to do on the event! We were given a passport to guide us on where to go. It was like a huge birthday party! Kids running around, trying on activities from one booth to the other. It was chaotic, but the FUN kind! :)

Why is My Toddler's Hair Growing too Slow?

When Maco was born, she barely has hair. Though she do have a lot of hair on her body that eventually fades when she's getting bigger.
Maco at 11 months :)
When Maco reached 8 or 9 months, I thought, "wait, where's her hair?".  And so I asked her Pediatrician and he said that it's just normal. That some babies grow their hair a little slower than usual, but they will grow. And from then, I didn't get worried anymore. I don't know why but whenever I ask her Doctor about something, even when I think I know the answer already and when other people has told me already about it, I feel more secured when I've heard the doctor's answer. Well, I guess because they are Doctors and they know what they're doing, they did study for it for years anyway, so.

Some friends of mine would tell me to use this or that brand of shampoo for my little girl, for her hair to grow faster. Some even told me to cut all of Maco's hair so it would grow faster. Here in the Philippines, that's one of the beliefs, that when you cut all of the baby's hair, it will eventually grow faster. I told my husband about it, I told him that I want to cut all of Maco's hair so it would grow faster, but he said it wasn't true, and so did my Pediatrician. And I got that "I told you so" look from my husband.

I got a little desperate for my little girl's hair to grow faster so I tried to use the shampoo my friend told me about -didn't work. So I went back to her old shampoo. Then I saw this Moringga shampoo, and thought to give it a try! I guess it would be good for her, since it's all natural and no harmful chemicals. And I also want to try it for myself. In fairness, it does smell good, too! And okay, I actually am a fan of the Team Kramer, and I really believe in what they endorses because I think they really use it, and the Kramer Girls' hair are gorgeous, so. Hehe!
Macoki's hair now.
I can finally tie it like this! :) Her bangs are still a little short, though
Apparently, Moringga shampoo didn't disappoint me! I'm near on finishing our first bottle and I noticed my little girl's hair was growing thicker and kind of faster already. I don't know, maybe it's just me. But I did see the difference and so did my husband.

I'm not currently using it, though I really wanted to because it's all-natural and all that, but the bottle costs a little higher than our usual shampoo cost and honestly, I would be using a whole lot of it because of my long hair, and it would only last me half a month, so maybe when I get a haircut already. Hehe!

Not entirely sure if the shampoo did help with my daughter's growing hair or it's just really time for it to grow. I'm just a happy momma that finally, I can tie it up! :)

Mommas, Poppas, Titos and Titas, this is NOT a sponsored post okay. I just really love the product! But if they'll sponsor my little girl's shampoo, why the hell not, that's what we're using anyway! Heehee ;p

All Things Baby Sale at Baby Company - until April 2, 2017 ONLY

Hey there Mommas, Poppas, Titos and Titas!

If some of you don't know, Baby Company is a baby store obviously, which is found in SM Department Stores and/or they have their own boutiques in select malls. You can find here almost everything you need for your little ones; from diapers, to milk bottles, to strollers and cribs. Plus, they have really nice and accommodating staff -I assure to that because I've never been to a Baby Company branch that have masungit (peevish) staff and they will really help you to find that you need.

Last March 25th, my husband and I were at SM Megamall, almost everything was on sale that day, and so we checked out Baby Company at the Department Store. They have their own boutique in the mall as well, FYI.

I checked out everything first before getting the things I needed. If my little munchkin was still a baby, I sure would be getting a ton of things from there! I actually thought of getting some baby stuff that I know we wouldn't need just because it was on sale and those were the things-I-wish-I-had-when-Maco-was-still-a-baby. Haha! But it wouldn't be really practical, would it? Hehe! I'll share with you what to expect on the sale, and the stuff I got! ;)

Nursing Covers exclusive to Baby Company are on sale for 20% OFF

My 2yr-Old Now

Oh how time flies! It feels like it was just yesterday when I gave birth to my precious little munchkin. Now, she's a screamer, she could eat on her own, and definitely know what she wants. And cries if didn't get it.

From then, when my little girl can't talk yet, I was sooo eager for her to talk, so I could talk to her about anything and everything. But now, damn, that little mouth doesn't stop. Hahaha! And I must be careful with whatever I say, because that little mouth will repeat it the whole day! Good thing I haven't been in that situation yet, I haven't cursed in front of her yet. Lol

LOL! How I wish... ;p
My daughter now knows how to count 1-10. I don't know how she learned it, I guess those lessons I was giving her finally were put to use! Lol. Though she doesn't know A-Z yet, there are just some letters she know! I guess she's pretty picky with her letters, eh? Haha

She doesn't like her ulam (viand), in orange sauce. This one, I don't know where she got it from. Husband and I like Mechado, Menudo, and those viands in orange sauce (sarsa), but my little girl just won't even taste a little of it. But she does eat spaghetti! I am clueless as fork.

Maco likes Peppa Pig. I've read bad articles about this certain show, and one of my facebook friends even commented on one of my posts of how bad Peppa Pig is. Maco knew Peppa pig from Youtube, nope, not the cartoon show, but from toy reviews actually. It's just now that I let Maco watch Peppa pig, the actual cartoon.

She can say "tweeeessss" (please), and "yusmis" (excuse me), and I'm proud as fun. And my heart melts whenever she say "aywabyu" (i love you). Ahh these little human beings! We're still in the process of her saying sorry whenever she did something wrong though. I know that she should know that by now, but I think she just can't say it just yet, what she does is put her head down, and hugs you. I guess that's how she says she's sorry. Yesterday, I've heard her say sorry though, when she bumped her father. So I guess we're progressing in a way.

She can be really pilya. There was a time we were asking her to pack away her toys and she pretended she was sleeping. Ugh!

When she found out my husband and I's names, she started calling us 'Mama Coi' and 'Papa Jojo' all the time. I'm happy that she now knows our names!

She likes to sing and dance! She sings even we don't know what it is she's singing, and dances whenever she hears music. Our little ball of energy!

I could just go on and talk about my little girl (hehe), but this would be a very long post (lol).
Ah I never knew I'd be in love with someone this much.
I love this little human being so much!

WELP! People talking to my Baby who DOESN'T even talk yet

I, myself has talked to babies before, I even ask them things that I know I wouldn't get an answer from! But, actually, I didn't mind that. I didn't think it was awkward at all. There's nothing awkward about babies, right?

But now, as an awkward parent. I do get awkward when I'm carrying my baby girl and my friends, relatives, most esp when other people asks my baby! Who they know doesn't even talk yet!!! I mean c'mon...

But then I didn't mind it, and sometimes I don't answer the question, I just repeat the question to my little girl which made it more awkward I guess. Lol! I don't even know why I even thought of asking my little girl whom I know doesn't even talk. And doesn't even understand what I was saying. There was a time I answer it for my baby. But it seemed like they didn't care when I answered it for my daughter. :( So now, I just wait for the person to look at me, and talk to me instead of my daughter.

One time, my husband asked me this...
"What do you do when other people ask Maco something, even when they know Maco doesn't even talk yet. Do you answer for Maco or you don't answer at all?"

I told him, "RIGHHHTT??!?!". And then we laughed.

I know this is just simple or non-sense for most people, but parents reading this, what do you do when other people ask your baby (who doesn't talk yet) questions? Do you answer for them, like you "baby talk" to them (LOL), or you just answer them? Or you just don't answer at all.

**This was when Maco doesn't talk yet, now she can somehow converse with people. If she's not being shy! Hehe
